The pillows came with fast delivery. Once you have them out of their plastic bags let them sit overnight so the feathers can distribute evenly. I had no problem whatsoever sleeping on my new pillows nice and fluffy and puffy but the next morning where my head was on the pillow it was squished and did not go back to form. I held the pillows and shook each one to get the feathers to puff up again. It helped but the new pillows are flatter. That part I do not like. The features are all true.
My sleep has been declining regardless of what memory foam pillow I was using. In part this may have to do with the increase in over all heat this summer as I am allowing my place to be warmer to keep the utility bill lower. I bought several “cooling” memory foam pillows and was disappointed because they offered no cooling and in general as the ambient heat is up, the pillows are less supportive. So I went old school.Feather pillows do not appear to be affected by the heat for support purposes, feel neutral with regard to heat and once I adjusted them to my neck and head, slept better than I had all summer. I’m keeping them.
I only gave this 4 stars as this is day 1. I slept great last night, but they are a little stiff/overfilled? Your head does sink down a bit but not enough for me. I will follow up on this after a month or so. They should be accustomed to my head by then. I am ordering 2 more because they are great, despite day 1.I washed and dried them immediately and wow, they are so huge! More so than coming out of the packaging.Oh yea, and no feathers were poking me (others have stated this). LOL
My pillows came vacuum sealed, and as soon as I opened the package, they quickly expanded. But I put them in the dryer on air fluff only, with some dryer balls with a dryer sheet just to make sure they were fluffy. They seem a little bit small for a king, narrow, smaller than the king pillows that I have, but not that much of a difference. They are extremely comfortable! Very comfortable!! I am so tired of trying to find a good pillow, it seems that you can¡¯t find one that¡¯s made right anymore, they¡¯re either hard is a rock, or so soft that you feel like you¡¯re sleeping on marshmallows, so I figured I would try a down pillow, as I already have a huge square, European pillow that I use for decoration on my bed that I sometimes use, and I found it to be Nice, but due to the size it¡¯s hard to use it for my head, (I tend to use pillows to make a nest in my bed) so I decided to try regular pillows made of down, and when I went to bed it was instant comfort! I would rate them on a soft medium. I will probably order some more if these do okay after using them for a while. They seem to be well-made, and pretty decent quality, I don¡¯t notice any feathers poking out, or any shedding, I just hope they last!
And … the search is finally over! These pillows are exactly as advertised. You have the softness of the down and the support of the inner core. I’m a side sleeper and I need support for my neck, this does it. I hug the other one. So glad I took a chance and bought these! Now I will be getting 2 more sets for my guest bedrooms.
